Holidays in the Fasano area are increasing in popularity all the time for foreign arrivals, but there is a long way to go to catch up with the Italian tourists who have flocked here for years!

Many visitors stay either in privately rented holiday villas or trulli that have been converted for the purpose, with the rest opting for one of the many hotels  and resort complexes.

The whole area is covered in olive groves, orchards and vineyards of the many small farms and small holdings or owned by the large masseria estates (once the manor houses). To the east of Fasano toward the coast the land tends to be quite flat, but inland or west takes up into the hills and woods of the Murge plateau.

Coast holidays tend to centre around the resort of Savelletri, although opportunities for bathing can be found all along the coast in the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea. Drive along the small coast road (the old Via Appia) any weekend or holiday period and you will see numerous cars parked in every possible place with families grouped under their multi coloured umbrellas enjoying the sun and sea.
